*Power Comics: After initial forays with Wham and Smash incorporating some Marvel heroes into their more traditional line-ups, Power Comics decided in in 1967 to launch two nicer-quality paper weeklies, Fantastic and Terrific, devoted almost entirely to Marvel. Fantastic featured Thor, Iron Man and the X-Men, and Terrific starred the Avengers, Doctor Strange, and Sub-Mariner – all re-pasted and occasionally edited to eliminate confusing American idioms!
