Starting out with pure romance, the issues in this update soon morphed into a poptastic 1960s miasma of go-go disco happenings, not forgetting the fun fashion pages. In #54, the final issue of the series, not only do we get the return of the Gears, those ‘madcap musicians with the hard-driving Liverpool sound’, but Millie dreams she has an adventure as the costumed super-heroine known as Millie the Marvel. Ginchy, cats and kittens!
