*DC: The Joker adorns the cover of Detective Comics #193 (art by Win Mortimer), creating a story of how he captured Batman and Robin for his underworld newspaper. The Clown Prince of Crime goes full tilt wacky in the ensuing lead story. Written by David Vern with art by Bob Kane and Lew Sayre Schwartz. Back-up features this issue are Roy Raymond – TV Detective, Robotman and Pow-Wow Smith – Indian Lawman. This solid copy holds together very well, minor edge wear, a tiny bit of grubbiness, tight, firm staples and supple off-white pages. There is a tiny chip off top right cover corner, but no other damage or marks.
