*DC: Unlike its sibling title House Of Mystery, House of Secrets started in 1956 after the Comics Code Authority came in, and thus has no pre-code issues. What it does boast is clever horror/mystery/science fiction stories by some top artists and often classic covers. These six consecutive issues date from 1961 in the early days of UK distribution when comics were ‘still 10 cents’ and flaunt a dazzling array of weird monsters. They all feature the recurring characters Mark Merlin, paranormal investigator and his companion the lovely Elsa.
