*Miscellaneous 1960 Onwards: We don’t promote a lot of comics from the 21st Century here at 30th Century, but one exception is Saga, the epic space opera/fantasy series by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples. The protagonists are extraterrestrial husband and wife Alana and Marko, soldiers from warring planets, fleeing authorities from both their homeworlds as they struggle to care for their daughter. A mash-up of Star Wars and Game of Thrones with elements of Romeo and Juliet, and – believe it or not – How I Met Your Mother, the series has proved hugely popular.
