*Humour Comics: From 1974 to 1985, Whoopee, a companion to Whizzer & Chips, gave its stablemate a good run, vying for the pennies of the nation’s urchins with a line-up including ‘Bumpkin Billionaires’, ‘Evil Eye’, and ‘Sweeney Toddler’ a refugee from the cancelled Shiver & Shake who rapidly became Whoopee’s star turn. This new selection ranges from the years 1976 to 1984, spanning eight years of merriment, and includes two special Christmas numbers from 1982 and 1984 and the Silver Jubilee issue from 1977.
