*Clearance Corner: The vintage story paper Hotspur, launched in 1933, thrilled a generation until its termination in 1959, to be immediately revived as the ‘New’ Hotspur, a picture-strip weekly. While Hotspur’s position in the annals of history is assured, the generation who remembers it best is, sadly, mostly no longer with us, and as a consequence we’ve decided to say farewell to this series. This lot of early issues is twelve copies, from 1933 and 1934, averaging Good condition; numbers 2, 5, 7, 11, 15, 16, 35, 37, 39, 46, 50 and 55.
