*Marvel: Following her debut in X-Men #130, the roller-skating mutant with the light powers Dazzler went on to star in her own series in the early 1980s (but also had a career in the X-Men subsequently). Despite being filled with denizens of the Marvel Universe, the Dazzler series seems firmly set in its period, with a feel to me of American TV of that decade, sort of like Dallas or Dynasty with super-heroes and villains.
