*Marvel: Following his debut in the previous issue, Dr. Strange returned for his second outing in Strange Tales #111, where for the first time he came up against his arch nemesis-is, Baron Mordo. In just five pages, Lee & Ditko manage to create an eerie tale of atmospheric mystic adventure. There’s something unique and beautiful about these little back-ups. The lead Human Torch story is a standard tale with a villain, the Asbestos Man, who didn’t exactly go on to find infamy in the MU; we didn’t know about the deadly effects of asbestos back then, though. This CGC copy is graded at 7.5 (VF-), pence printed variant, Universal Grade blue label, case perfect, white to off-white pages. CGC Ref: 0275053008.
