*Miscellaneous 1940-1959: From the Bute Collection, a rather special issue of Nedor’s Startling Comics, #41 from 1946, graced with a cover by Alex Schomburg, featuring super-hero Pyroman carrying an atomic bomb, bursting through a backdrop of atomic newspaper headlines. Inside, many features including Pyroman, the Fighting Yank, Trouble-Shooter and the debut of ‘Front Page’ Peggy, girl reporter. A lower-graded copy, with a nice, clean cover image. Slight spine roll, lower spine split (3.5 cm), small tears central (on spine only), nicks and nibbles along top and right edges, with tiny chip out upper right. Staples are good, creamy-coloured pages.
