*Boys’ Adventure & War Comics: Published by Scion in 1949, the 8-page one-shot Big Atlantis Comic featured as its lead the three page Atomic Mole story drawn by Ron Turner, famed UK science-fiction artist. Four pages coloured in blue and red, the other four black and white. The Atomic Mole is a machine crewed by an intrepid scientist and his chums, here on an exploratory mission to discover lost Atlantis. (Further Atomic Mole adventures continue elsewhere, next in Big Ranch comics). There’s also three pages of funny strips and the two page Speed Devils, about motor-racing adventure. A decent copy of this rarity with nice pages, with just a very short upper spine split.
