*Boys’ Adventure & War Comics: In addition to the hugely successful extra-length Summer/Holiday Specials for their respective weeklies, the two titans of IPC/Fleetway, Lion and Valiant, released three joint ‘Special Extras’ between 1968 and 1970. Identical in format to the regular Summer/Holiday Specials, these Special Extras shared the billing between the stars of the two popular series – ‘Captain Hurricane’, ‘Kelly’s Eye, ‘House of Dolmann” and others from Valiant, ‘Robot Archie’, ‘Spellbinder’ and ‘Zip Nolan’, plus more, from Lion. Almost never seen for sale – we ourselves have only previously in recent times had the 1969 issue in stock – we are delighted to have all three available.
