*Boys’ Adventure & War Comics: In a playing career of amazing longevity, Roy Race of Melchester Rovers first appeared in the very first issue of Tiger in 1954, and was still going strong in 1976 when he was promoted to his own ongoing title. (Roy didn’t hang up his boots until the regular series ended in 1993!). This week we present most of the issues of the Roy Of The Rovers title from its first year, in nice condition, commencing with #1 from 25th September 1976. #2 & #3 are also included, as is the Christmas issue with its cover photo of Eric Morecambe as Father Christmas.
